ABOUT THE PROJECT
Bjørnøya of 282,000 m2 is a magic island located off the scenic Helgeland coast, just north of the Arctic Circle. We want to create a small and sustainable society that will consist of green tourism , and cooperation with strategic partners in climate, environment and tourism

The project includes 6 plots of land for residential houses for permanent settlement of our employees, eco-resort hotel with approx. 50 double rooms, kitchen and restaurant, tourist shop, 60 rowboats and 15 cabins, 8 treetop cabins, 6 meditation cabins, a multi-purpose cultural church and a knowledge hotel for 40 students, with the aim of courses and training in renewable energy sources and off-grid life.
LOCAL ARCHITECTURE
We want to make as few interventions as possible in nature to preserve the original flora and fauna as well as relate to the building tradition that is already along the Helgeland coast.
NATURE IN HELGELAND
Helgeland has about 12,000 islands, white beaches, mountains and peaks, islets, sheltered coves, fjords, open ocean, large untouched land areas and steep mountain walls that extend straight up from the sea. The nature is fantastic where you can see puffins, sea eagles, hawks, hubro, terns and eider ducks.
WHERE IS BJØRNØYA
Bjørnøya is located approximately in the middle between Bodø, Sandnessjøen, Mosjøen and approx. 100 km from Mo i Rana, in Rødøy municipality, Nordland county, just north of the Arctic Circle, at the height of Vestre Svartisen, which is the second largest glacier on mainland Norway. The nearest airport is Mo i Rana.
HOW TO GET TO BJØRNØYA
By plane via Mo i Rana airport, train via Mo i Rana train station and scheduled bus to Tonnes dypvannskai, by express boat from Sandnessjøen and Bodø. If you come in your own car, you can park at Tonnes. Arctic Circle Boat Transport has two beautiful boats, for either 35 or 56 passengers. They sail individual transport by agreement and organized excursions according to their own programme.
